How little one doctor can know!

When I finished my pediatric residency in 1975, my information was very up-to-date, but, I still had plenty of questions about my patients. My former professors would gladly comment by phone, but, I wished that I could just show them a picture, and that they could be more specific.

This experience continued over the years; after a while others wanted my opinions, and I realized that I needed to see a picture of the patient’s problem that was being discussed.

As a medical professional, have you ever felt this way?  I’d really like to know how you dealt with it or how you are dealing with it today?
